A real sustainable urban neighborhood
Among the most recent projects, LAMINAM was chosen for the coverings of the Infinity pool on the 18th floor of the South Beach Hotel in Singapore. The hotel opened in 2015 owes its prestige to two internationally renowned architects, Norman Foster (Foster + Partners) who signs the architectural project of the complex and Philippe Starck who designed the buildings interiors. The South Beach consists of four buildings with 23 floors in the city center, creating a real sustainable urban neighborhood that coherently fits in the idea of Singapore as a “city in a garden.” A distinctive feature of the project is to create numerous common areas: 43 Imaginative Social Spaces transforming the hotel from a place of passage to a real experience to be lived.
One of these is precisely located on the 18th floor of the South Tower which houses the special infinity pool designed by Philippe Starck, an environment of well-being that arouses emotions to be lived and shared conceived as an open window on the city.

Laminam ceramic slab properties
The infinity pool ambience that is a privileged point from which it’s possible to enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view is covered with LAMINAM slabs of Oxide collection, Grigio colour with a thickness of 3+mm. Cut into apparently irregular geometric portions and perfectly combined in a sort of modern mosaic, the slabs create a new and refined optical illusion, an effect of oxidised metal which reacts to the sunlight. The material and chromatic depths help create new refined 3D effects for a total look in designing interiors and exteriors.

Un quartiere urbano sostenibile al 23 piano
Laminam è stata scelta per il rivestimento delle pareti della Infinity pool al 18° piano del South Beach Hotel a Singapore. L’hotel inaugurato nel 2015, deve il suo prestigio a due nomi di spicco dell’architettura internazionale, Norman Foster (Foster+Partners) che firma il progetto architettonico del complesso e Philippe Starck che ne ha progettato gli interni.
Il South Beach si compone di quattro edifici che si sviluppano fino a 23 piani in pieno centro città, andando a creare un vero e proprio quartiere urbano sostenibile. Caratteristica peculiare del progetto è di mettere a disposizione degli ospiti numerosi spazi comuni: 43 Imaginative Social Spaces trasformano l’albergo da luogo di passaggio a una vera e propria esperienza da vivere.
Uno di questi si trova al 18° piano della Torre Sud che ospita la particolare piscina a sfioro progettata da Philippe Starck, un ambiente per il benessere pensato come una finestra sulla città.

Proprietà delle lastre Laminam
Punto privilegiato da cui godere di un panorama mozzafiato, l’ambiente piscina sceglie come rivestimento le lastre LAMINAM della collezione Oxide color Grigio spessore 3+mm che, tagliate a porzioni geometriche solo apparentemente irregolari e perfettamente combinate in una sorta di mosaico moderno, creano un gioco ottico inedito e raffinato, un effetto metallico ossidato quasi tridimensionale in cui la materia pare cambiare colore al variare della luce.
